A committed concept store
La Pépixterie offers a selection of bags and small leather goods made by emerging designers. We put forward pieces of high quality leather goods, real pepixies made with a know-how of excellence and a sustainable approach. Our desire to reconcile fashion and responsible purchasing also translates into a strong societal commitmentto gender equality.
Sustainable leather goods
Convinced that leather goods can be sustainable, our commitments are based on 4 axes:
- Promoting exceptional local know-how: faced with the impression of always seeing the same bag brands when there is a multitude of designers, we are keen to help you discover designers who offer accessible luxury leather goods and who integrate eco-responsibility actions into their manufacturing process.
- Sustainablemanufacturing: our pepixies are designed to last and made in small series, from exceptional materials, leather from food industry waste, unused dormant stocks or upcycled materials.
- Solidarity projects and equity: we put forward designers who are invested in solidarity projects, and we commit ourselves to a societal project, by donating a part of each sale made at La Pépixterie to an association for equality between men and women.
- Multi-faceted bags: We believe in creative and functional fashion, offering pieces that can be worn in different ways and designs that allow you to change your style without changing your bag.
Designers committed to sustainable fashion
All our designers integrate one or more eco-friendly actions into the production of their products. Their actions are illustrated on each product sheet through dedicated pictograms.
Local manufacturing : France
Valuation of short circuits with the production of high quality leather goods bags in exceptional workshops in France (in Paris, in the Tarn, in Cholet, in the Lyon region...).
Local manufacturing: Europe
Production of bags and small leather goods, by craftsmen working in workshops on a human scale and with traditional know-how.
Upcycling
Production of bags and small leather goods in limited series, from dormant stocks of leather from major companies or from upcycled materials (e.g. fabric scraps from the automotive industry).
Vegetable tanning
Production of bags from vegetable-tanned leather, based on the use of natural agents such as chestnut or oak tannins. A process that gives each bag a unique patina over time.
Ecology
Production of bags in environmentally friendly conditions: reduction of water and energy consumption, water recycling, use of alternative energy sources (wind, sun, etc.).
Solidarity projects
Actions that reconcile fine leather goods, solidarity and equity by supporting actions in favour of education or gender equality.
Modularity
Multi-faceted creations to consume less but better by favouring multi-purpose bags. Bags that can be transformed into volume and creations that allow you to play with materials, colours and ways of wearing them.
